About:

„Christian Rothenhagen’s art is a testament to the transformation of cities. In his artworks, he creates visual pauses. The transformative moments that he tries to ‘freeze’ are conveyed through very clean drawings of urban details, very personal and powerful documents of urban perception, realised with perfect line work and using various media like Japanese alcohol markers, ink or graphite and playing with materials like (aged) paper, cardboard, MDF, … wood, and sometimes resin layers. Rothenhagen’s art is mostly presented in galleries, but some of it can also be found in the streets. Over the last two+ decades, his works have been exhibited in solo and group shows all over the globe.“

Christian Rothenhagen, also known as deerBLN is a fine artist and designer from Berlin. He is known for architecture focused drawings and installations capturing the changes of Berlin, his home town and San Francisco, his „home away from home“, wich he visits since 30 years on a yearly base.
